With a budget of 1500 rs, you can expect most of the best devices available to be wireless and that’s good because who doesn’t want to have a wireless experience. That being said, there are wired headphones that made the list. One of which offers dual connectivity. So choose the one that appeals to your taste.
Boult Audio ProBass X1-WL (Wireless In-ear) – 8.2
The Boult Audio ProBass X1-WL, come packaged in a small and slim box. On the box, you’ll find the highlights of these in-ears, IPX5 water resistance and Microwoofers are the ones that stand out the most. Upon opening the box you’ll find a plastic cutout in which the in-ear headphones stay and a micro-USB cable to charge them. And they also provide us with 3 sizes of eartips. Besides these, you get the usual warranty card and a user manual.
The construction of these headphones feels quite robust, which is natural considering the high-grade materials used in their build. These are wireless in-ears and are advertised as being ideal for workouts. Thus they provide us with the earhooks that promise a stable and secure fit. You could perform a lot of vigorous activities without having to worry about them falling out of your ear.
There is some latency in the sound but nothing worth complaining about. Button controls include volume up and down, and a play/pause button. Pressing down and holding the centre button switches on the Assistant. The headphones switch off after 10 mins of idle time and upon holding the play/pause button for 4 seconds.
The quality of the eartips and earhooks is firm but soft enough. The battery life lasts about 11-14 hours varying on the volume you use it at. The bass quality is good, a little overpowered as it hides the lower midrange frequencies. A bass-focused sound signature for the most part with some elevation of the highs. The Microphone quality is good as well.
Noise Tune Active (Wireless In-ear) – 7.9
An ergonomic and value of money set of in-ear wireless headphones.
The Noise Tune Active comes packaged in a medium-sized box wrapped all around with thin transparent plastic. They come in 4 colour variants; red, green, yellow, and black. They look aesthetic and have a modern, more sophisticated design. Among the key traits of this device are its 10 hr playtime, full remote control, magnetic earbuds and IPX5 water-resistant.
In the box, you find the user manual, extra eartips and earhooks, a charging cable and the Bluetooth 5.0 wireless headphones themselves. The build quality of these headphones is amazing, to say the least. The neckband is made of rubber which is lightweight, soft and flexible. It can withstand twisting.
Both ends of the neckband are weighted to make sure that they stay on your neck. On the left side of the weighted neckband, there you’ll find the noise logo imprinted on it. The cable connecting the earpieces to the neckband is covered in rubber as well. The entire build has a matte black finish. On the right side, here you’ll find the control buttons, they include the play/pause button and individual buttons for the volume control.
This is also where the charging port is located which is micro-USB. They sit comfortably on the neck and the earpieces give a snug fit in your ear thanks to the soft and flexible earhooks. The back of the earpieces is magnetic which is convenient. The sound quality is as expected, it emphasizes the bass frequencies and lower midrange. Though it must be noted that the highs are clear and manage to push through.
pTron Bassbuds Sports (True Wireless Earbuds) – 8.0
pTron Bassbuds Sports true wireless earbuds do not disappoint. These sports earbuds offer an impressive 32 hours of playtime, with 8 hours coming from the earbuds and 24 hours coming from the charging case. Furthermore, these BassBuds get fully charged in just one hour!
We had no trouble doing any activity while using these earphones, and they stayed in our ears during workouts. The sound quality is great for this price. We loved the bass and tuned mids of these earbuds. The lows were punchy, and the highs were crisp and polished. The headphones had a good balance for hip-hop with plenty of depth and clarity.

The build quality of the pTron BassBuds Sports true wireless earbuds is pretty amazing. They are made of durable plastic that feels good in the hand. The ear hooks are soft and adjustable, which is a lot better than other similar products. The earhooks felt small but comfortable on our ears, and they stayed in place when running or working out.
The case for these earbuds has a little slot where you can plug the charging cable into it, and we were able to charge these earphones by plugging them into any USB port, laptop or phone charger. They go into pairing (Quick Pairing) mode as soon as you open the charging case, offer IPX4 sweat and water-resistant, and Voice Assistant support.
Infinity JBL Glide 500 (Wireless On-ear) – 7.8
The Infinity JBL Glide 500 replaces the Boat Rockerz 450 on this list. And it does so for two reasons: larger battery life and better build quality. While the Glide 500 isn’t as pretty looking as the Rockerz 450 was, it makes up for it by providing a more reliable construction and longer playtime.
The price of the Glide 500 will at times exceed the budget that we’re working with by a few hundred rupees but it is worth it. Like the Rockerz 450, the Glide 500 too uses plastic for its build but somehow feels a lot more reliable and flexible while also being lightweight. The headband doesn’t feature any padding though it is quite bendable and adjustable.
You do get decently soft, well-padded earcups which are also foldable. Making them quite convenient to travel with by simply tossing them in your bag. The headphone can only be used wirelessly as it lacks a 3.5mm aux-in port. But considering the fact that it has a battery runtime of 20 hours, it’ll be a while before you run out of juice.
The device also comes with a quick charge feature and uses a micro-USB cable for charging. The cable comes included in the box along with the usual paperwork.
Coming to the onboard controls, they include volume controls and several others. You can also access your preferred voice assistant through them. The buttons give good feedback upon pressing. And you can also use the built-in dual EQ mode to tweak the sound output. Noise isolation is okay considering the on-ear design.
Boult Audio BassBud Q2 (Wired On-ear)- 8.0
Best on-ear wired headphones under 1000 rs.
The Boult Audio BassBud Q2 come in a strong and sturdily packaged box. On the outside of the box are specs, included microwoofers is the one that caught our attention the most. Inside the box, you’ll find the Bassbud headphones themselves and a warranty card and that’s all. These headphones are in close competition with the boAt bassheads 900.
So with that in mind let us start with the build quality. The headphones are quite lightweight due to the plastic build but not terrible. The headband is rather flexible and withstands flexing. On the side of the headband is the padding which isn’t foam but a kind of stiff rubber material. The earcups can be pivoted and the headband is adjustable. Overall the device has an average build.
On the back of both earcups is the Boult Audio logo. These are wired headphones and the cable extends from one side. Along the cable, you find the inline microphone with a control button and at the end is the 3.5mm headphone jack which is an L-type and gold plated.
The earcups create a good seal this improves noise isolation or passive noise cancellation. The sound quality is good, the bass is limited and the highs and vocals were great and quite clear. A near-flat sound signature. The microphone quality is great. The placement of the mic is farther than we’d like it to be.
JBL Endurance Run (Wired In-ear) – A sporty set of in-ear headphones. With all the necessary traits; magnetic earpieces, sweat resistance; angled audio jack and earpieces. The audio and build quality is impressive. The bass is satisfactory, mids are mild and highs are crisp.
Sony MDR-EX155AP (Wired In-ear) – The Sony MDR-EX155AP is a wonderful pair of in-ears. From the strong and well-thought build to the sound quality worthy of the Sony name. An angled 3.5mm audio jack and angled earpieces. It has an in-line mic and comes with extra eartips to choose from.
boAt Rockerz 400 (Wireless On-ear) – Comfortable, lightweight and a warm sound signature. The build of the headphones is pretty durable and the cushioning of the earpads is soft and supple. These are wireless and the Bluetooth latency is to a minimum. Battery life lasts around 6-8 hrs.
Rockpapa 952 (Wired On-ear) – A name most have never heard of. The Rockpapa 952 is an awesome set of on-ear headphones. They are quite suitable for kids and adults. The sound is enjoyable and they are available in several funky colour combinations. They have an Inline mic and an angled, gold-plated 3.5mm audio jack.
